Election/Care Package Get Together

Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 28th at 12 noon for a “Sunshine in a Box” Care Package packing get together, Election of new officers, and Potluck Luncheon!

It’s cold, dark and grey on the banks of the Severn.  Let’s cheer up our Mids by sending them some “Sunshine in a Box.”   Think of anything yellow, bright, and full of sunshine:

The McQuaid's have graciously offered to host all parents who would like to help assemble 45+ care packages for Arizona members’ Mids.  The McQuaid's live near the Ahwatukee area and we will send their address by email as it gets closer. 

Whether you can be there or not, we need your help with contributing non-perishables/individual sized snacks and treats for 50 Midshipmen.  The Club supplies the boxes and covers the shipping costs, but we rely on parents to bring the contents. 

Our website provides an option to donate money towards the care packages if you are not in the Phoenix area and unable to attend or drop off snacks, we can use the contributions to go buy them on your behalf (click “Donate” and the drop-down menu has “Care Packages”). Those who attend are welcome to add a note or a little something special to your Mid’s box if you want.

Please bring a dish to share; drinks will be provided.  Also, it would help Anne to have an idea of how many people to expect so please either register on the website or email her at jackandmaggs@gmail.com.  You can also email me if you have any questions about this event at usna.azparentsclub@gmail.com
